Police Investigate Two Overnight Shootings

The Jackson Police Department is investigating two late-night fatal shootings. The first happened around 9 p.m. Sunday on Highway 80 outside the Sleep Inn, and the second occured 30 minutes later at the Sunray Manor Apartments on Sunray Drive. JPD said 33-year-old George Moore was shot to death outside the Sleep Inn. Investigators said they believed Moore was chased by the occupants of a dark Buick Century with tinted windows. read more
